The San Francisco based artist and maker, Alvin Petty, is perhaps best known as the creator of the iconic cover art for Metallica's 1985 album CREEPING DEATH.  Petty's mastery of airbrush technique earned him national recognition as a leading artist specializing in custom painting motorcycles with strikingly bold and captivating designs.  In recent years, his hands-on creativity has led him to create a series of one-of-a-kind, collectable cigar box guitars of exquisite finish, producing a distinctive gutsy tone.  Continuing to explore and share his passion for the "hands on" approach, he works in many mediums such as ultra light moving parts, producing the infamous Trout Car designed to entertain others.  When Alvin is not creating new projects, he can be spotted driving around the Bay Area in his restored Panhard.
